The ethical- aesthetic examines the reasons why 1.2 million tones of textiles go into landfill each year in the UK. The synthetic fibres take hundreds of years to decompose and poison groundwater. 80% of our clothes end up in landfill and the cotton producing countries suffer too in terms of environment and human health. Our swishing events encouraged the ‘stop shopping and start swopping’ message!
