The Reserve Collection is
an exhibition of large scale digital prints, sited in Limekiln Nature
Reserve, at the corner of Fulbourn Road and Queen Edith Way Cambridge.
Created
by artist Rob Birch, the work explores the relationship between the
natural and urban environment. The subjects of the prints are young
people from Cambridge. They are placed within the reserve as colourful
'birds of paradise'. The work explores the relationship between the
seemingly rural setting and the urban reality of the subjects of the
images.
Visitors
to the reserve came across these 'creatures' as they walked around,
and were drawn into the contradictory nature of these obviously
urban creatures being placed in such a seemingly rural environment.
